I’m currently writing an advanced version of Design Your Own Website with WordPress – Volume Two. It goes beyond the basics that this book covers using WordPress and Elementor free version.

The main difference of Volume Two lies in using the advanced (paid) version of Elementor. Learning to use Elementor Pro has definite advantages – greater flexibility in designing your site your way, including e-commerce sites and blog-based sites.

I’m also recommending the use of Elementor’s own hosting solution instead of Bluehost. Taken together, the paid plug-in Elementor Pro along with their own hosting comes at $99 per year. It’s a great bargain, in my opinion – considering the hosting is solid on a Google platform and takes care of backups as well and the Pro plugin has heaps of additional widgets.

As against a ‘free’ approach used in this book, Volume Two takes the approach that every business can afford a small budget to build and maintain a website.

For a small business, an annual outlay of $99 is nothing much and the benefits are huge. The power to fine-tune your content and styling is vast.
